Introduction

Summer of 1997, night, probably playing it for the 20th time, trying to optimize my results - the shareware version of "Fantasy General" by SSI. It had very few levels and it did not even allowed you to save the game, still these are some of my fondest memories growing up in the nineties.

I've always dreamt of creating the same magic in glorious 2D graphics, fortunately the ecosystem and technology now is accessible enough to make it a reality.

Features

Random Map Generator

1. Uses Cellular Automata to create interesting areas to explore - villages, cities, mountain fortresses, mines, ruins etc.
2. No two maps are the same!

Unit Placement

1. Tile aware unit placement
2. Units can't be placed on wrong tiles
3. Ally - enemy units (Green - Red)

Efficient Path-finding

1. Efficient path finding algorithm with tile aware movement
2. Unit based movement eg. flying units can go anywhere
